This painting depicts animals upon their return to the Okavango Deltain northern Botswana. Here a saddle-billed stork (Ephippiorhynchus senegalensis) makes landing in the flood plain.
The figures here drawn from natural history photography archives, and are drawn in charcoal on an absorbent ground. This technical disparity between materiality and execution speaks to the duality of humanity's connection and seperation from the natural world.
